I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying not only this trip report on here but even more so your blog site. I am looking at doing a RTW trip in 2014 and it is great to read of your travels. I think my trip will be similar to yours with a some organised adventure tours and some independent travel. I am a couple of years younger than you so like you probably a little older than the standard g adventures tucan or the like traveller but it sounds like you had a great group for your Asian adventure.
Hope you continue to have a great trip and I will definitely be following both this report and your blog site.
Great work!!
Thanks for the feedback fersea. I've done most types of travelling starting out with the Europe backpacking thing and catching Greyhound buses overnight in the USA overnight to save money. Then it was backpacking with occasional tours and medium level hotels to break up the hostel stays.
Now it is mostly tours using companies like G Adventure or Intrepid and independent travel in between with good hotels. Even for the tours now I usually opt for the single room option. This trip I used the 280k OW Award for business travel, thank you AFF members

On this trend it will be 5 star hotel rooms, Trafalgar or better tour companies maybe even cruises. Maybe one day my first ever F international travel

Seriously I recommend G Adventure because they do have a spread of people not just 20 year olds and the 18-25 year olds actually want to experience the place. You just need a good attitude and be willing to share and help, something I guess you naturally do being a AFF member.
Now the upcoming Central America tour will be interesting because they have a under 40 years old age limit meaning I will almost certainly be the oldest. Might be the last adventure tour I go on!
