A little too much valima?

What's in Honiara for you?
.........come to think of it, what's in Honiara for anyone ? :).
( I can say that, I was born there)
Used to be great.Had 6 weeks in the Solomons in 1969 and had the time of my life.
Went back with the family in 1981 and the writing was well and truly on the wall.

Hi GPH -- didn't put my details in my profile yet, it's true. I am a Velocity Gold member but was flying flexi-economy (no J class on the Sydney - Tonga route).

"Bring on the Virgin Australia / Virgin Atlantic / Etihad / Delta Super lounge for Sydney and a Virgin Australia / EY lounge in Brisbane!"
-- that's the slogan I was looking for! Thanks, fruitcake.

That makes it clearer. Yes bring on the new lounge.

I hadn't been back in nearly 50 years. It's certainly lost its charm.
My brother for some reason still likes it, he runs a small biz in Gizo. Any AFF'rs going up and want a " friendly " face let me know. He can take you places off the beaten track. ( last time I checked). Some of the best diving anywhere in the world.

If you want to see Samoans, we have more in our suburb than the rest of the south pacific, and I think they were all at the local park yesterday, must have been 500 there

And the Waitangi day celebration just up the road from me was about 3 times larger than the Australia Day celebration.

Many apologies but that info is a little classified just atm. Any advice re: using Solomon's Airlines to get out there?

Unearthing an old thread. Any one know if this has changed? What if you fly premium economy.

Appears to be a NO still.

Lounge Access with Velocity Membership | Velocity Frequent Flyer

No lounge access!

Now as NZ own 19.9% of VA I really don't see why any Gold/Platinum/PE/J passenger can not simply use the NZ lounge when flying on NZ or VA or EY or SQ etc

On the same note, don't bother trying to tell NZ check-in agents that you are Platinum with VA and you are entitled to an extra bag, they don't get it and will charge you.....

I have been trying to get a refund from VA/NZ and it just keeps getting passed around

Yet another "quirk" of VA...

Was booking flights to the UK the other week. Since there's no lounge access for virgin lounge members on VA code share flights with Etihad or on Virgin Atlantic I booked BA/QF..
