Hi all,

I am after the best travel (compact) umbrella you can buy please. Not a sports star/celebrity brand but one with warranty and light/tough.

I've had a few and after going thru 3 in 5weeks that were cheap it's time to try the COVE titanium scissor version.

Recommendations from those that use compact umbrellas please!!!!

We use the Cruiseco ones we get every time we book a cruise through them.no extra cost.the last time I was working in Tassie I had one of them and an upmarket plain black one.On a wet windy day the upmarket one was inside out within minutes.Back to the car and got the cruiseco one-2 hours walking around and no problems.
So I am not sure price is any quarantee of quality.

Do the compact ones actually work? Mine blew inside out even in BNE!

Are Toto umbrellas good and where from in au as told they only seem in uk and USA?

I LOVE my Totes Superdome Auto/Open Close umbrella. Primarily because it opens up to golf size but folds down to regular size. It's large enough to fit several people underneath. And its pretty good with the wind. I usually get them on Amazon for less then $20.

Another brand is Knirps from Germany. They are not as large but have a great reputation
