Travel umbrella recommendations?

Had about 5 ranging from $5-$20.
Any type or place recommend to purchase a new one?
Light, compact and strong.....

All fine for compact umbrella on an international flight and domestic American flight?

I got a very small one in Marks and Spencer in the UK. Its small and compact, and it can't be any more than 15cm when folded.

No ideas here but I am sure you're aware that if you carry it on board many screening points freak out when they see an umbrella.

We have a small travel Knirps that is great, very reliable and going strong after a couple of years.
Not sure where you can get them in Australia though - I found this one in a travel shop in Seattle.

I consider umbrellas to be 'disposable' items after losing three in one day back in the 80's.

FWIW, purchased 10 umbrellas in Orchard road six years ago for SG$18 all up (~AU$1.45 each) and have three left.

We usually buy them when going through NRT.several shops have them at 500 Yen.If in Japan you can find them.sometimes at the 100 yen shop which makes them great value at $1.25.

Grab a $5 cheapy and toss it or replace it when you need to.
