As I’m going back to Fiji in March as part of an SC run I was looking for other things I could do on my one free day there, and I saw that with an Air Pacific ticket I can purchase a Bula Pass for USD$99 that allows for 2 destinations. First off, if I bought my flight from Qantas, do I qualify, as it’s still operated by Air Pacific?
Assuming that’s all OK, one of the destinations that looked like fun was Apia, purely because there’s a flight on the day I am free (27th March), dep at 01:45, arr at 05:35-1 (which I assume to mean the 26th).
The return is then on the 26th (problems trying to dummy book that already), dep at 06:35, arr 05:35+1 (which just sounds fun to me).
Anyone taken a flight like this before, I realise the same thing happens when heading to the US, but not by such a big margin. From a novelty point of view it looks fun. Have I miscalculated time zone changes?
I already looked at visiting some of the Atoll’s on Kiribati or Tuvalu but flights weren’t on the day I’d have free.
