Travel Bag Buddy™ | RFID Travel Organizer + Secure a 2nd Bag

Looks neat. What's a RFID travel organiser exactly? Ie, what's the point in having a RFID tag in the organiser?

I was looking at this on Kickstarter this morning!

I was a bit concerned about how easily the thingy opened to access passport/cards ect, anything that easy means easy to steal as well. Would have preferred a zipper or velcro at least.

Im also currently waiting for delivery of these from another KickStarter and will report if they work with photos: QUBIX, Built To Last - Double Compression Packing Cubes

It would be to stop people running scanners against your cards etc that have chips. Think of it this way, someone could get a an EFTPOS "tap and Go' Scanner, enter a value of $99, hold it near your wallet and it may automatically generate a transaction without you having done anything.

Yes getting myself some of them also, but I got off Indiegogo. They're being a bit obtuse about getting combinations other than their prescribed sets

Ahh...yes. Of course. Calling it an RFID organiser is misleading/confusing. So obviously just a glorified Faraday cage. Pretty sure I saw in the video them putting a mobile phone in there. That's hardly going to be connected to the network in that case.

Either way, I ordered one too :) Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not too concerned about the RFID element to be honest, where this bag is positioned, i doubt someone will sneak in a scanner, and if it does happen, credit card investigation and they can find out who the dodgy console owner is..

I like how this bag can stay attached to the secondary bag for sliding off at security scans, I'm always struggling with hands full of liquids, laptop and the bags + jacket. This is what I meant by making a difference.

I concur. When I'm travelling HLO I'll usually have a bag and backpack. My favourite backpack doesn't have a little loop to go nicely over the bag handle. When I'm standing in line, I'd rather take the weight off my shoulders, do hoping this does the trick. Worst case scenario MrsDaver6 can make use of it. I figured it was worth a punt.

And just out of interest where is your wallet and what is it doing there in the first place?

That particular scam can happen anywhere.

But for me my wallet will usually will be in my inside jacket pocket, if I'm wearing one, otherwise is likely to be inside my computer bag. I tend not to put my wallet in back pocket of pants when I'm flying.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

A few colours will be available if a stretch target is reached. I'd stick with the black but a red, navy blue and forrest green are in the works.

Has anyone purchased and used this product? If so, I would be interested in your feedback. It sure looks like a useful thing to have. Thanks in advance.

As it's a Kickstarter Project, my guess is no. Your "investment" will facilitate production.

I'm such a sucker for travel products. I need to take a deep breath and decide if I *really* need this...

Briar1078, I've seen in for sale on eBay for around $20 AUD with free delivery ... from China!

I'm hesitant to order 'cause I reckon it'll take 6 months on a slow boat to get here to Oz. But it sure looks like I could make great use of it.

I have seen a similarly named product but thought it was just an "attach-small-bag-to-big-bag" facilitator. Without the RFID organiser. May not be the same product you've seen though, LC50. Seems that my on-line/social media pattern exposes me to every travel bag/organiser/product invented. Funny about that. :p

LOL Briar1078.

I'll wait to hear from the OP or anyone else who previously indicated that he/she was ordering the travel bag buddy.

I purchased one that finally turned up a couple of weeks ago. Haven't actually used it yet or even had the time to test it out at home. When I get a chance, I'll report back.
