I would appreciate some info and advice, I will be in NY (Liberty Int Airport ) in June 2008 as part of a RTW trip. As I have never been to NY, what is the best way of transport from the airport to the hotel (Intercontinental the Barclay) and what is the approx costs?

Thanks a lot for the info, just one more question....how much is toll and tips...is it 20,30 dollars?

If you don't have a lot of luggage, the skytrain/airtrain (sic) and train to Penn station and then probably cab/subway - convoluted but cheaper and during rush hour probably quicker.

Or if going to downtown another alternative is to get ~$15 taxi to Newark Penn Station (as opposed to New York Penn Station) and PATH train takes you from there direct to lower Manhattan. I guess it all depends on your budget and time of day (how bad traffic is going to be).
