I'm going to be flying Xiamen Air from SIN-AMS transitting through Xiamen for about 5 hours.

China now has strict rules regarding powerbanks needing to have the China CCC certification - those that don't have this certification gets confiscated.

Has anyone transitted through China recently that could confirm whether they are also checking (and confiscating) transitting passengers' powerbanks?

In theory it's domestic flights only.

I've taken a couple of HSR trains and exited China via HGH without my 10k mAh device being confiscated.

But China is a place of YMMV.
