I would like to go to Nepal through Singapore from Sydney. Just transiting in the airport. I can not work out if it is a problem on the way back from Nepal despite reading info until I am cross eyed. Can someone help with this please

There’s a few threads on this topic, but here’s a link:

The main point at the moment is to have your connecting flights on the same booking. Otherwise, you should be ok at the moment.

They just relaxed the rules on pre-departure Covid testing (no longer required). Currently, there are no “restricted” countries.

The only other thing is if you wanted to stop ever in SIN, you’d need to be on a VTL flight and meet those requirements. Nepal is not on the VTL list yet at the moment.

Another transit related question, if I book a multi-city trip with a ~12 hour layover in SIN, can I ask for my luggage to be checked through to the second destination? Hard to find a clear answer on this one on SQ’s website.

The computer system SQ use at check in won't see this as a separate stop and so unless the staff manually intervene the baggage will be checked through to the 2nd destination regardless.

We're planning to travel in May from MEL to ZRH transiting though SIN. With the recent relaxation of the transit rules in Singapore it means we can get all the way to Zurich (and back) without having to undergo any COVID testing - which could potentially torpedo our holiday!

I'm interested to know if it's possible to book MEL-SIN-MEL in economy and SIN-ZRH-SIN in business and have the 2 combined as a single itinerary. (The Singapore transit rules require baggage to be checked through Singapore and arrival and departure flights to be on the same itinerary.)

Not interested in stopping over in SIN as that would trigger a requirement for COVD testing - which we think is too big a risk.
