Is anyone aware of QF having arrangements in place at SYD for overnight storage of firearms in transit from domestic to international?

Would appreciate experiences from those more traveled.

I did find details of storage available at international terminal. About $15 overnight for a large suitcase.

Baggage

I'd contact the baggage storage people first.

I suspect they will NOT accept firearms for storage. (Be happy to be proved wrong of course....)

If your flights are all on one ticket etc.... can you just check the bags right through.. "forcing" QF to store them between flights? Does that work at SYD?

I'd say yes, they do int transfers of checked bags...

Also +1 on the storage co not being overly happy about storing firearms. You could of course give them a bag to store and not say what's in it...

They may x-ray the bag. I was once interrogated about an umbrella that came up on the x-ray of a bag I wanted to store at the airport. I had to open the bag and prove to them it was an umbrella and not a weapon. I am pretty sure they would not be happy storing a firearm.

The bag storage area at SYD (at least at T3) doesn't X-Ray bags prior to storage.
