Transit time Syd Domestic - Syd Intl = 90 Min...enough?

Hi gagaland I hope you and your family have a great time in the US. It really is a great place but it is so far from Perth!I have to agree with those that say this might be "pushing it" especially with kids in tow. (Or needing the bathroom, a drink etc) you really don't need that kind of stress! Any chance of rerouting this trip via MEL? Being Sydney born and bred I have to say I love my "home town" but transiting it's airport, however, is another matter entirely. Having moved away, I have to admit that MEL is a much better transit airport. That being said if the routing cannot be changed, ask for express passes, limit food and especially fluid intake prior to landing, insist on restroom breaks for everyone (adults included) prior to beginning decent into SYD, and turn the transit into the amazing race for the bus. It can be done I just hope it isn't too stressful for you. A few months back I saw a family run for a flight. They practically collapsed at the gate and there were tears! (mostly the mother's). Virgin were amazing, they made 3 "third and final" boarding calls. They did everything they could to help them onto the flight. It was the first leg of their itinerary- a domestic connection to MEL for a once per day international flight to NAN. All the best for the trip and please let us know how it goes. :)
