I’m looking to fly VN from BKK to PUS in J. There’s a choice between transiting in SGN or HAN in the late evening..
The transit duration is around 2-4 hours for both options.
Any tips or insights would be appreciated.

I have not transited at either airport, only arrived/departed, but generally speaking SGN would be busier. It might also have a bit more by way of amenities and facilities airside but neither airport has much in that respect. There's a VN Lotus Lounge at both. SGN, being the bigger airport, might be a better lounge but I'm not sure, and I would not expect too much from either one.
I would probably pick HAN, all else being equal, but I also would not use this difference as the deciding factor on which flights to choose.

Thanks. Both J flights to PUS have full lie flat seat on the 787 and the arrival time are like 30mins apart. Hence wanted to see whether which 2 ports trumps the other in terms of transit, lounge etc...

We transited both in 2023 and for me Hanoi was less chaotic. Still not a great experience. I don't think either lounge is much better. As risaka said there seemed to be more facilities airside in SGN.

Both were adequate but we got to the lounge quicker in Hanoi.
