Ive got a fair few Amex points which I cannot transfer to Qantas.

I can transfer to Cathay, does anyone know if I could then move those to Qantas? They are Oneworld after all!

If not, any other bright ideas as to what can be done with them?

You can't transfer CX miles to QF but you can use them to book award flights on QF

You can't transfer them to Qantas Frequent Flyer, but you can transfer the points to another program then use them to book a Qantas flight. In fact, depending on the route, that may even work out cheaper.

What kind of redemption did you have in mind for the points? (Any particular destination/s?)

Amex Membership Rewards transfer to 9 different airline programs - Membership Rewards

My suggestion would be to work out how much they convert to in each program, and how far those transferred points will get you in each program. Chances are it's probably further and in a better cabin class than if you'd earned QFF points instead.

Amex Premium can. You get this with the plat charge. Not sure if they upgrade all your old points when this happens but it might be an option for you, and comes with a bonus 120k points!
