Hey Guys,

I'm flying into LAX on the 1st of AUG this will be my first trip to the US. I would like to go straight to St Louis, question is. I'm flying with Air NZ i land 12:15 at terminal 2 and would like to catch a 15:10 flight to St Louis from terminal 4. Is this enough time to transfer?? American Airlines have a baggae agreement with Air NZ so i can check my bag through from Adelaide.

Thanks Guys,

Seems like plenty of time to me, I always aim for 3 hrs for myself and my clients so you're spot on the mark.

Hi BrentonJ, welcome to AFF!

2:55 is plenty of time to transfer. Will both the NZ and AA flights be on the one ticket?

Thanks for the replys the NZ and AA are on seperate tickets I have booked and paid for the NZ flight but just thinking about the AA flight just want to make sure it works out.

Thanks Guys,

You have to clear Immigration, collect Bags and the pass through Customs at LAX, all usually less than an hour.

Dont check your bags through any further than LAX. After Customs inspection travel with your Bags on Connection Bus to T4..At least then you know they will get safely to American Airlines Possession.

Have you had "transfer" bags go astray at LAX UD?

I've done the "bag drop" many times after Customs.. and never had a problem... You've got me worried now!!!
