Instead of the usual 2,000 Choice points = 800 Qantas or Velocity points, you can get 1,600 QFF/Velocity points.

Offer available until 30 November 2023.

Here's an excerpt from the T&Cs:

The Double Airline Points transfer offer is available from 12:01am (AEDT) 1 November to 11:59pm 30 November 2023. During this offer, when you redeem Choice Privileges points for these Frequent Flyer programs, you will receive twice as many Frequent Flyer Points as normal; for 2,000 Choice Privilege points, for example, you’ll receive either 1,600 Qantas Points or 1,600 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points. The minimum number of Choice Privileges points that can be redeemed under this offer is 2,000, and Choice Privilege Points must be redeemed in 1,000-point increments.

Only points earned/purchased prior to 31 October 2023 will be able to be redeemed for Double Frequent Flyer Points

Hmm, would be interesting to know what people here value Choice points at to see if this is worth it. Looking online valuations vary wildly.

Right now they are selling Choice points with 50% bonus as well. Lowest price of 0.7 US cents or around 1.1 AUD cents per point. This could be a really good way to buy Qantas/Velocity points when combining this offer!

If my calculations are correct you should be able to get 1.32cents per Qantas/Virgin point acquired. Apart from online classifieds, I don't think even a deep discount Qantas wine deal could top that!

Max Choice points you can buy is 180K + 90K bonus at 1854 USD which is roughly 2850 AUD. Net 270K Choice points converts to 216K Qantas/Velocity points. So per point acquisition cost is 2850/216000 = 1.32 cents per point!

Super niche and quirky way to get Qantas/Virgin points but worth it for the right person!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Really depends on redemption type. Keep in mind that you can redeem at some Preferred Hotels and Resorts properties on top of Choice properties with Choice points. This is great because Choice's properties are typically 2/3 star motel or budget hotels. But with some limited availability, you can also use points on properties like the Fullerton in Sydney (35,000 p/n) which could give better value.

I bought some Choice points yesterday on special as I’m going to Scandinavia next year. I tried the smallest amount for $68.40 using my Wise Visa card yesterday. The points got credited immediately. Then I bought the maximum that I was offered to me of 100k + 50k bonus for $1030usd. That purchase has not gone through immediately. My wise card has been charged though.

I’m hoping it will go through in the next day or so. I recall this happening last time I bought a big amount of Choice points. Still quite hair raising waiting for points to credit after paying for them. Nb I used those points last year at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. Had a great stay there.
