Trans Tasman Promo Cancellation Rules

I was planning to book a Melbourne to Auckland flight with my family under the “Take off and save” promo that saves $150 per person. However I was wondering if Qantas still offers free cancellation for trans tasman services because booking under the “Sale” fare means that you are ineligible for a refund/cancellation. On the Qantas Fly Flexible page, it says that “Book any eligible Qantas operated flight, and enjoy added flexibility with unlimited fee-free date changes and the option to change the date of your travel as often as you need.” There is no mention of a refund, only on Classic Flight Rewards.

QF is not waiving any refund penalties for refunding back to form of payment on any fares. That has been the case for a while. There's no penalty if you take a credit instead.
