After the cruise we stopped of at the Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar for a late lunch Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar: Queenstown NZ Restaurant and Function Venue

Excellent service with prime views of the buskers, but ordinary food

Jet boating is a must, we were recommended Kayak & Jet Boat Queenstown River tours | Dart River » Dart River

Bus picked us up at our hotel and took us out to Dart River about a 45 minute drive, stopping half way for a photo shoot opportunity







Upon arrival at their base, you are divided into two groups, first group is fitted with splash and life jackets, second group is doing the nature tour first.

The ride up the river is broken up into sections and the guide stops regularly and explains the area, history and facts about the section of the river you are in.

Take a water bottle with you as when they stop you are encouraged to sample the crystal clear water

If you want to get wet sit opposite side as the driver and at the rear

Second part is a eco walk through the woods and how they hate the Australian possum and how they kill them

Note: take fly repellent, their sand flies are bad

On the way up to take the gondola ride their is a interesting pioneer cemetery

Looking up at the gondola, didn't end up going up Clazgirl wasn't up for it.

Note: if you want to do one of the many activities at the top you also have to purchase the gondola ride. Which is conveniently missed by the re-sellers in Queenstown.

Daughter and her husband did the luge and really enjoyed it



We decided to do the Kiwi bird life park instead http://kiwibird.co.nz/kiwi/ a complete waste of money and at $45 per adult i would give it a big miss.

Excellent customer service and quality food, serving staff saw we were cold and provided us blankets and then moved us inside when space was available
