V B doesn't look anything like that now. Those large trees are gone and there are now 2 buildings (chapels ?) at the entrance. These are pics taken at the Gallipoli centenary dawn service in 2015

Pic taken the day before the dawn service with TV broadcast truckslining the driveway. The revered status of Australians for their part in saving the town during the war was something to give you goosebumps. Quite incredible that the respect is still so strong after 100 years.

A steady stream of people parked at the nearby town and walked in almost complete silence along the 2 - 3km to the Memorial site in pitch black with just a line of spot lights to mark the way. We arrived at 2am to get a good seat and then sat for hours waiting for the service to start. It rained steadily for most of the time and despite having multiple layers of thermal and rain gear we were freezing
