Business Lounge.
My flight out is at 18.00 and they havent brought out the "good stuff"! yet.
Have to get out of Business lounge soon.

I am not sure there would be any "good stuff" at all on a Saturday - If the would be then unlikely before 6pm ...

I am almost certain there is no island dining on weekends, if that is what you mean by good stuff (at least this seems to be the case in CBR).

I haven't notice any island dining on weekdays either for a while, at least not in BNE.
What they do now is take out plates from the kitchen and offer the "good stuff" to everyone, no matter where they sit. Last week it was stuffed vine leaves and some dips.

I wouldn't bother trying in the school holidays between Christmas and early January! That is when the business lounges have been closed over the past few years "for maintenance"

There was good stuff on Sunday at ~3:30pm in SYD business lounge.

Party pies and spinach and cheese triangles.

At least it doesn't make me sick like most of the weird food available in the lounges.

Party pies and triangles, saw that on Sat.
The sausages and gravy were TO me yum.
Toasted bread for early dinner.
Fish aka pink ling and veg fir dinner in the QFd 767 cabin Sat evening.
Will be sad to see the 767 big birds go off to aeroplane heaven though.
The take off was fast and a dash.
No musing over the many taxiways at SYD as some flights do roll on and on and on before actual takeoff and climb. This 767 was fast, grunty and a loud climb!

I also saw the party pies recently. I think it was in the Mel J lounge last tuesday night. Yesterday arvo before dinner they were handing out nacho's that were quite tasty, also in the Mel J lounge.

See, this is what is good about the QP, its what food is there, think I mentioned the rice and meatballs in another thread on here. This was in the QP AKL Sun lunch. Had seconds! Toasters probably taken away, by 12noon... whereas in any VA lounge, the toaster is a permanent fixture.
All was good, was flying Jetconnect, till I saw it was at 4c gate that my plane to MEL departed ... mate... talk about a 4th rate service.
No aerobridge, had to walk from 4c to bus, bus to plane. walk up staircase...
Lucky I dont need a walking stick yet.
But I do note Emirates get provided a gate!
