Those floors are like our rental which was also a new build when we moved in. They were so dusty dirty but we had to clean as tenants moving in. Needless to say this was noted on our inspection report.

I'm trying to get things as perfect as possible, but the dust is coming in off the balcony.

I also managed to get all the silicone residue off the bench. A few marks on the bathroom floor tiles that I just didnt have time to work on. Pale tiles are not the best idea...

Its builders. We have paint smudges on our tiles. Plus a gash in the stairs area.

Make sure you get a can of the paint colour now for later touchups.

Or Mr Denali and my standards are very low and weve not noticed . We do have a fortnight cleaner though - because Im begrudge having to clean a house that I share with someone who doesnt do anything so now we both do very little

Likely we miss stuff like that too but as we are currently renting and it was a new build I was obsessive about any issues and took so many photos on key handover.

I've noticed a couple of small things already but we're waiting on the painter to return anyway as they couldn't get there before handover to fix the last few things. There were quite a few tradies there during handover installing appliances and other bits and pieces.

I've heard builders often stash stuff under the stairs before its walled off. We paid extra for ours to be a cupboard so they couldnt do that...

Not wanting to lower the mood but my sister was in the middle of renovations when her husband died.
Whoever tears that down will find the clothes he was wearing the day he died!

I always leave current newspapers wrapped in plastic bag in the walls whenever I renovate a room.
