TomCat's new digs!

It is a bad sign that appliances go in last because of theft. True low lifes do that.
We lost a pile of electrical cables that cost about $10,000 to replace. They stole it for the copper at one of our building sites and the copper was not worth very much.
I remember during out build that appliance boxes were hidden under construction rubbish and I have a video of a very dodgy looking guy in black hoodie looking around. Most snoopy people look at the house but this person was looking around corners and front colorbond fence to see whats been left around to be picked up, like bricklayer/roofing equipment or applicances. He was definitely dodgy looking and we enjoyed speaking to him over the camera and he took off

On my builders group I posted a video of the snoops and the construction company owner phoned me about the dodgy looking guy, the owner followed me on social media as my posts were very public about our build/his company 🤣

Ha funnily enough, the supervisor made a point of telling us our property ends at the garage, and that the "driveway" is actually a public road. And that they got a huge fine from council for fencing it off during construction 😂

That is what confused me! But I did work it out! It has to be at least a public lane-way that the council maintains. Pretty cheeky to block a public road in that way without council permission. No problem with a common driveway on private property.

I do wonder however, are there any s.173 Council agreements on the title? Or other agreements on the title?

I'd imagine there might be some restrictions on what owners can alter - at least externally - to retain things like the overall complex appearance aesthetic?

This afternoon was not just about drinks. TV got all the wall heaters installed while I ran around scrubbing everything as clean as I could. So much dust! One bedroom has visibly brown walls just from all the dust.
Still need to go back and vacuum/mop. And also get some silicon off the stone kitchen bench 🥴

Miss TC and I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning the floors. We've vacuumed and mopped the place from top to bottom.

I've got the screen door company coming tomorrow to measure for a security door. I think the last thing we need to do now is remove all the spare tiles and store them in case they are needed in the future. And maybe consider curtains for the front bedrooms, especially as the ensuite has no door.

My cousin is 3/4 way through a giant house reno. extending and going up. Her husband usually pops past on this morning run; one day was delayed about half an hour. Or he'd have met the tradie who dismantled the scaffolding and stole it! Clear footage of number plate from Neighbours across the road but local cops didn't bother chasing up, as it was a crime against property and all was insured. How daft -obviously that bloke's done it before and they could likely have solved quite a few crimes

We had a spate of skip bin thefts around us. Brightly coloured, hard to miss skip bins. So bizarre.

Those floors are like our rental which was also a new build when we moved in. They were so dusty dirty but we had to clean as tenants moving in. Needless to say this was noted on our inspection report.
