Hi everyone.

This is my 1st thread here.

Travelling to Singapore, HK and Bangkok in March, 2011 as a kind of escape.
Had enough to redeem a one way economy to HK on SIA before my krisflyer miles expired (31/12/10). The Singapore and Bangkok and back home (Sydney) destinations are via LCC's.
Just wondering (hoping) someone can tell me how to get into any of the lounges in any of those airports mentioned.
Just looking for a bit of pampering after a very bad divorce.

BTW cool forum.

Regards.

Welcome to AFF...and back to to the single life :)

Airport Lounge Access Worldwide | Priority Pass is an option....hk and sin lounges are ok but bkk probably not worth the entry fee.

Max Power,

Welcome to AFF and best wishes for a single future. :D

Hi max power (after the hairdryer?? :) )

As you are flying different carriers, definitely look at the priority pass. I got mine with my Amex card and have used it a few times so far when there wasn't a one world lounge.

Hi and welcome, Max Power.

Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore all have Diners Card lounges, which you can access with any diners club charge card. Some of these are tired but others are very nice, although not as nice as F lounges. That said, I found this in the listing for Hong Kong - "Lounge guest also have the option of a free 15-minute seated massage or a 10-minute water bed therapy." Maybe time I visited HK!

All you have to do is swipe/show your Diners card, however guests are usually charged for admittance. I don't know your situation but this might be a cheaper or more convenient option for you than paying for Priority Pass or similar?

Just beware, some airports have separate terminals for LCC which often have no amenities like lounges. For example, at Changi (Singapore) Tiger fly to Budget terminal (which has nothing much...) but Jetstar Asia and AirAsia fly to terminal 1 (which does have lounges like the Priority Pass/Diners Lounges). I'm not sure about BKK/ HKG - you'd have to check depending on which LCC you fly.

Regardless, have a great time!

Editted as I keep calling Priority Pass Priority Club. D'oh!
