Hi all
Last Monday, I outlaid 384,000 points and $1290 on 2 x one way F award flights from MEL - LHR. 12 hours later, I realised I'd booked the wrong month (a very silly mistake to make, I know) and rang up Qantas for a refund.
The rep I spoke to advised that it would take 72 hours for the points and the ccard fees to be refunded to me.
4 days later, neither points nor ccard fees had been refunded, so I rang up again to chase up. I was informed by the new rep, that it actually takes 6 WEEKS for ccard fees and points to be refunded.
Is anyone able to advise which advice is correct? I still haven't received my refund (it's been 1.5 weeks now), and am unable to re-book anything until my points re-appear as I don't have many more points (meaning I'm likely to miss a number of award flights as they are released). Had I know that it might take 6 weeks upfront, I would have been more inclined to change the booking with the rep over the phone...
