It appears their expenses are way over revenue. I mean they have no issue filling aircraft, their yield has increased, gone of the days of $10 airfares.

Quite surprised that we haven't seen any sort of movement with Virgin now in control, I cant say I have seen any changes (routes, scheduling, product, marketing etc..).

The airline has launched several new routes in recent months including Melbourne-Coffs Harbour and Melbourne-Sydney-Alice Springs. It will also expand its presence on transcontinental routes in the lead-up to Christmas when it begins flights between Sydney and Perth.

The article does not appear to be correct! Whilst TT may be planning to fly MEL-CFS, they haven't started yet and you cannot yet purchase tickets!

SYD-CFS is a different story!

Amazing this result has been largely ignored by the media. VA might save it but it will be a lot more short term pain with no assurances of long term gain.
 
No one really know how much short term cost they've pushed into the q3 so until VA reports it'll be a big unknown how ongoing this sort of loss will be.
 
Well they're definitely not virgins losing money in the airline business. ;)
