Yesterday must have been Singapore's national day of LCC hookups!

Taiwan’s China Airlines and Singapore-based budget carrier Tigerair will launch a low-cost carrier (LCC) joint venture—Tigerair Taiwan—which is expected to begin operations at the end of 2014.


China Airlines chairman Sun Huang-Hsiang said the JV should “stimulate demand in the civil aviation market here, usher in a new era for the local aviation industry and create Taiwan’s first LCC.”
