Tiger Airways has again been named the most punctual major domestic airline in Australia after
topping the on time arrivals and departures figures in December. .Figures from the Bureau of
Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics found Tiger achieved an on time departure
departure rate of 85.9 per cent in December,The low cost carrier consistently topped the survey
last year before losing the mantle to Qantas in December.

I guess if your cancelling most of your flights it's not hard to keep the remaining ones on time.!

Spot on. Just goes to show you how meaningless statistics can be at times. Most of their flights are cancellations or rescheduled and yet they have a low cancellation rate and are the most punctual airline. How many aircraft in their fleet?

Yes, if I had two planes, cancelled flights that lost money and didn't connect with other flights I reckon I to would be on a winner statistically.

However my actual airline might be sunk in the long term.
