I am planning to fly tiger from Perth to Melbourne soon. I am wondering what aircrafts do they fly? What is the leg room like? Do they have inflight entertainment? etc... Can anyone shed some light please?

They fly the A320.

I would imagine that there is no IFE, and that the leg room would be squashy with a pitch of 28.5 inches.

Tiger is an LCC. They fly A320s - same as Jetstar. Leg room is tight / minimal - they fit the max number of 180 seats in. No inflight entertainment.

Thanks Markis. But this doesnot answer my questions:

1. What aircraft tiger use between Perth and Melbourne
2. Is there Inflight entertainment (Paid or Not)
3. Leg room and flight configuration.

All your questions are answered previously.

Tiger has only A320s with no IFE available and 28inch seat pitch

Config is 3x3

You're welcome!

As other have said - no IFE. Seat pitch tighter than QF, JQ and VA. Expect to share the plane with lots of people who have never flown before.

Longest sector I have done with them is OOL-MEL. I couldn't handle the seat pitch for any longer than that (I'm 6"1).

You get what you pay for.

Point was to check the trip reports which give actual experiences that go beyond seat maps and pitch, an often give some hints:

Thanks everyone for the help. I hope to provide some feedback on my experience after the trip.

Jnr is currently awaiting takeoff from MCY (to Melb.) and they have just announced that the toilets aren't working on the aircraft.

On a $20 fare, well....

OMG!

I guess someone is going to post it so it might as well be me - 'If that was me I would be totally p*ssed off / that would really give me the s*hits!'

Seriously every time I read these negative reports about Tiger it just amazes me. No I have never ridden Tiger Oz - but I have had a dozen rides on Tiger SIN and they were always really good - book exit row seats so plenty room - they were always on time - fabulous crew - I just don't get it.

Sorry to OP if heading OT.

Last week I noticed a Tiger flight ADL-MEL possibly, and announcements were made that the aircraft was short of water so were encouraging pax to buy bottled water in ADL airport, thankfully I was flying another airline....

It worries me when airlines can get a basic such as water or working toilets.

Tip of the ice berg?

Nothing wrong with Tiger, you get what you pay for. Some people cannot afford to be pretentious snobs and Business class everywhere they go.

Indeed. QF1 did SYD-DXB a few months back with no potable water (there is a thread on AFF), and I flew LAX-SYD in 2011 with 2 J toilets disabled for most of the flight. And now the Mr Joyce says QF is about to go bankrupt...! :p

I don't really get how being able to afford business class makes one a pretentious snob....?

Am I a snob for living in the Eastern Suburbs because I can afford that?
