Firstly a thanks to everyone for the wealth of information available on this site! I've started flying for work again this year, mainly domestic QLink, and since May I've gone from NB to SG! With no international flying I hadn't planned to go for WP but with 3 months before my year expires I feel a little lost without a status goal to chase!!

What is the general consensus regarding SG V's WP for Domestic, mainly east coast flying? Is there any benefit, or is it more my ego that wants the extra status???

Arrival lounge access, J lounges when at a major hub like BNE, SYD, MEL are good perks. You'll rarely go over the minimum 1000 points guarantee on QFLink flights, so it's not so much an issue getting a 100% bonus over 75%. I do find it quite useful and mainly fly QFLink myself.

I forgot about the priority line, as noted below by Red Roo, it's a really good benefit and I do use it a lot! :)

Wow! That's impressive.

There are many benefits extended to our Platinum Frequent Flyer members, including a dedicated line to our Reservations team and Domestic Lounge access on arrival. While personal preference may be a factor for some, if you haven't already, please see this link for a general overview of Platinum privileges: Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Platinum Benefits - Platinum.

See you on board again soon. :)

I hadn't thought of arrivals access to lounges.. now that is tempting! And I am sure I could find an excuse to take the Family International to try a First class lounge! I may need to find some more excuses to fly for work!

Well with some more flying I am looking 145 SC's short of WP. I may need to do a short SC run before the end of Nov as I think it's too close to let slip - The ego is going to win out I think!

Any suggestiong for a Newcastle based run ;)
