Throughcheck across PNRs and codeshare

Oct 21, 2019
Hi, Hoping someone can inform me regarding throughcheck policies in the following scenario:

PNR #1
*Dunedin-Auckland - QF codeshare, Air NZ metal
*Auckland-Brisbane - QF metal

PNR #2
*Brisbane-Gladstone - QF metal

1. Will the Air NZ checkin counter in Dunedin issue a boarding pass for Brisbane-Gladstone and tag baggage through to Gladstone?

2. If not (and I'm assuming not), can I go to the transfer desk (international terminal) in Brisbane to collect the Brisbane-Gladstone boarding pass and have bags re-routed to Gladstone without collecting and re-checking them in Brisbane?

3. If no to Q1 and Q2, what will I need to do in Brisbane to check bags and get my Brisbane-Gladstone boarding pass?

Thanks for any help,

Even if NZ don't check through the bags, you will still need to pick them up in BNE and re-check them in anyway, as you will have to clear CIQ.

It's mot as above.

You clear customs in BNE, go to the QF connection des - they will issue the BP to Gladstone and tag your bag.
