Any experiences on through-checking from JL ticketed & operated revenue flight to QF ticketed / JL operated reward flight (separate PNR's)? If the JL check-in can check the bags through, it would remove some worry about the connection.

Segment 1: Europe-HND, JL operated + ticketed revenue.
Segment 2: HND - Korea, JL operated, ticketed as a QFF reward (JL flight number).

I'll have the same also the other way around (SEL-xHND-AU) but can book a nine hour connection which would give ample time if I need to collect & re-check my bags.

The alternate case is collecting the bags & re-checking in. How much time would that typically take (on a weekday daytime)?
