Through check baggage QF-9W

I think given the circumstances, I will collect my bags at SIN and re-check in if QF refuse to through check. Hopefully QF don't delay the flight and I have enough transit time at SIN.
FWIW, at SIN you do not need to do this even if bags are (as likely) not through checked.

Just go to a transfer desk airside on arrival into SIN armed with your etickets and luggage barcodes and they will collect the luggage and forward it to your 9W flight.

What should I do if I have a connecting flight at Changi? | FAQ - Changi Airport

"Budget Carriers" may be excluded from this but that does not relate to 9W .

Re: Rumour:[Denied by RR] Qantas to ban JQ SYD-MEL pax from F lounges & send to J lou

You're effectively saying that because Malaysian have always through checked baggage before on separate pnrs then QF should as well???
that's what I'd like to see.as a passenger I'd like to fly with an airline that revolves around me, and what I need. as an airline, I'd hope my financial people would appreciate the $1000 fare to singapore, connecting to another airline, rather than not getting the $1000 because a potential passenger will fly with another airline who will through check.
