Things Qantas Does & Doesn't Do Well

Why does Qantas force me to pick up a boarding pass at the airport when flying internationally HBO, when SQ/TR don't? It's an unnecessary pain IMO.

They actually do and have had it for a little while now with Salesforce CRM.
If the information gets added in by every agent, I have no idea.
The problem is the case referenced with a CRM number is already closed, gotta keep to those KPI's.

So with a recontact, a new one with no history is raised.

As long as you have entered your frequent flyer number or say your PNR into the IVR, it brings up your details and a history and autolinked to SF. But once again, every call needs to be closed off, but if the agent doesn't enter the information correctly or enter much, it would just be a empty file/case.

That’s usually when there’s a paperwork check eg visa for Indonesia when transiting more than 30 days (ie the max period for a VOA).

The good:

- Individual air vents - many airlines these days do not have this any more which is a disappointment, especially some of the asian airlines that tend to keep their cabins on the warmer side. What will happen with the a350, who knows.

- Consistent long haul business class seat (more or less). My upcoming flight on JL51 in a 788 got me thinking, what if it got subbed for the regional 788 with the non lie-flat seat? From what I can see, it rarely happens, but still... or as has happened to me previously, an apex suite 789 being changed to the poor sky suite 3 seat.
Yes there's the finnair wet lease and some of the older 332s but overall, you know what you're getting, unlike some other airlines where you might end up disappointed.

The bad:

- Lack of hot towels in business class, or even a wet wipe during meals if no hot towels provided.
