Things only acceptable in an airport

I’ve only done 3 of those things.
-Don’t mind a beer or any type of alcoholic drink no matter the time.
-Mrs Jase ALWAYS wants to be at the airport 4-5 hours before the flight, but yes we have been there 6 hours before.
- I do brush my teeth in the aircraft toilet or bathroom at the lounge.
Can positively say I haven’t done any of the others

Anecdote 1. Walking around in Pyjamas

I had a private jet departure late evening out of xx_ (A major, tourist busy SE Asian airport, which I won't name to keep the greater details anonymous). Family group who had been VIP holidaying nearby.

Guests arrived in vans, but didn't realise there was no private jet terminal/entrance at this particular airport (inbound they transferred from tarmac straight to their helicopter and onwards).

Husband was dressed suitably, but wife was in full pyjamas adorned with fluffy animal motifs, massive pink inflatable pillow around neck and bunny slippers.

She looked at me in shock, realising she now had to do the walk of shame through the absolutely jam packed main passenger terminal (fast track through staff security, but needed to go through the passport lane and through the concourse in order for me to get them in the waiting van and out to the aircraft stand)

Myself and staff without discussion instantly gathered around her as a walking cordon, so to speak, while we did the power walk through the terminal. (we're clever we are). Oddly enough the teenage kids seemed to trail behind as if they didn't want to be associated with the main entourage. Hmmm.

I was expecting hell at the aircraft from her or hubby "why didn't you brief us etc" but she was gold - told me she'll always wait and change onboard from then on.

Oh this should probably go in the Reddit thread too hahaha.

I've done 4 of them - no $10 water or PJ's. And I've slept under/or on a bench, not in the middle of the concourse.

....I would never sleep (or try to) on a terminal floor. I have *some* standards.

It was almost midnight after a very, very long day in Singapore and I was waiting for the Scoot departure area to open. All the seats taken I thought I'd just stretch out on this comfortable looking floor. Slept for 2 hours straight right in the walkway.

Flew Syd--Bri-Cairns-Guam-Palau and hit the wall so put a sarong down behind a row of seats and had a nap for a few hours while waiting for our flight to Yap.

Happened today morning with my parents. Went to drop them off at SYD, flight leaves at 3ish PM, we were in the airport at 8 AM 🤣 And all along in the wee hours of the morning and on the ride to the airport, my mum kept saying "we are going to be late"
On the plus said, she can also say "We've never missed a flight!" :)

In my backpacking days (a long long time ago), slept on several airport floors including the old Haneda airport when the Taiwanese airline China Airlines was the only international carrier using this airport.

It was handy that the vending machines sold hot coffee in cans.

As above. In my backpacking days to Europe.. used to take the last flight from the mainland to Stansted airport, sleep in the terminal for few hours, then take the first flight out first thing in the morning to the next destination

I've cleaned my teeth in a lounge bathroom but none of the others. Although i have had a beer at 6am but it wasn't at an airport
