The Wing re-opening 2026

I think given where The Wing is located near main immigration and security (and how far The Pier is for many gates) that it would’ve definitely been swamped upon opening had this criteria not been implemented especially with all the avoid-ME traffic and Chinese golden week just around the corner.

But luckily unlike some other OW carriers their blue ribbon lounge will only be temporarily out of reach for partner elites not travelling in their premium cabins…

(But def dissappointed the presser said months because i’m passing through hkg again June 2nd and was hoping for a briefer period of exclusivity!)

I was looking forward to a cabana visit later in the year when I pass through HKG a couple of times. Sad to see them gone now. I guess that's moot anyway if access is still restricted to F and CX elites in a few months.

Personally I'm a little bit surprised that they seem to have gone with such a similar aesthetic to the Pier. I always used to enjoy the variety of look and feel of CX lounges at HKG, whilst all still being on-brand.

Well, next time I'm in HKG I might be trudging off to the Deck (even though it's gone back to its original status). Or perhaps the Qantas lounge. Come to think of it, that's where I'll go.

I really dislike the Pier F. Arty farty bartenders and nowhere to sit. I hope that CX has got its strategy right.

That really sounds awful. Is CX really trying to piss off OneWorld frequent flyers?

Deeply disappointing that Wing F is restricted to Cx Diamond members and those flying Cx F..hope this is well and truly conveyed to Cx!!

I guess maybe available before summer holidays. The reason is there's a few holidays coming up in HK so better clear those initial crowds first.
