The view or two from my "office"

Only recently heard about those candlelight concerts at St John's (Brisbane), I'll have to get there.
Our son bought the tickets for us in Row A , perhaps a bit close to the Speakers, so the cheaper rows further back would be the way to go.
Conceptually not a fan of amplified strings but the artists were very good ( Paradiso strings) and the sound mixing was excellent.

Oh that is disappointing they use speakers. I heard Pachelbel canon played there long time ago, small orchestra, no speakers needed. Really, Cathedrals are designed for music

Sicily. One of these Greek temples was not built by the Greeks. Can you guess which one and why was it built?

I can guess it is Segesta, no idea why it was built though.

My gf and I visited in 1980 or there abouts having caught the ferry from Tunis to Trapani. We caught the train from Trapani to Palermo, got off at Segusta, had a look then caught a later one. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera, so no photos.

The train line is no longer in operation either.
