The view or two from my "office"

Dropped into the small museum attached to Radio Kukes in Kukes. It played a very important part during the Kosovo war, Kukes the town itself took in 400,000 people from Kosovo.

I was even interviewed on camera by one of those there, asking why I had visited etc.

I was going to put this in my tr, but as the the above post is radio related, I'll do it here as well.

Another radio related view, as a youngster I was interested in short wave radio signals, probably gave me the desire to travel. If you wrote to stations saying you had heard them, quoting time, date, programme, frequency and quality of receiving the signal, you would noramally be sent a QSL card, I still have all mine including one from Radio Tirana International, which was an anti west and anti Soviet propaganda station closely linked to Communist China, actually they are still communist, aren't they? :)
Lots of comments about capitalist running dogs and the like.
Anyway, today, driving through the Albanian countryside I saw these antennas, obviously short wave. Not in use now, but to see where the programmes I listened to 55 years ago originated from made me extremely happy! Bit sad really, but so be it.
Former RTI short wave broadcasting station, Cerrik, that I found after getting lost.
