AMD office. Shortly boarding an AI flight and not sitting in 11A. What could possibly go wrong?

Some confusion on the AI flight. Clearly an old UK aircraft. That's a positive as UK was a great airline. Exterior has been repainted and branding changed on the interior too.

The Barramundi at the Sydney QF F lounge was absolutely delicious. My friend enjoyed the S&P squid.



As I was due to arrive at AKL at 23:00, I booked the Novotel for the night. So convenient at just across the driveway. Not the runway view this time, just 100% car park view. (Upgraded to Premium 10th floor.)

AKL Emirates Lounge for breakfast while QF lounge undergoes renovation. Very few guests this early. Decent buffet and excellent coffee.





Check in staff could not give me a boarding pass for QF5 SYD-PER. Is this usual? I’m flying HLO, so fortunately can get it at the F lounge in Sydney.

Had an early start today dropping someone at the airport, so we decided to have breakfast in the city.

The Sofitel buffet isn’t as it was good as 12 months ago, but I digress.

Following breakfast we went for a walk and checked out the office view from Sky Deck.

It was night when I arrived and my taxi drove past it on the way to my hotel. Its not just the railway terminus!

When I arrived in the city, very early in the morning and dead tired, I recalled seeing a temple garishly lit up not far from the hotel , and I asked them what it might have been. They laughed, and said it was the railway terminus! I was a bit dubious, but set out after dark to check it out.
