And to follow up, this evening was 2 male lions who have recently been seen in the area. Looking to expand their territory and maybe take over another pride.

Yesterday's office, Fiji Air flight back to Canberra that was no where near as feral as the flight over. The Fiji Air lounge was busy but excellent with a breakfast buffet that Qantas should take note of. For a lounge with no view, it was very comfortable, table service for coffees and didn't even notice the lack of a view.

Great views of the Malolo Islands (Plantation Island closest) and the outer Malolo Barrier Reef including Namotu Island as we flew out.

The last time I visited the Hot Water Beach office it was me and four other people.

As we approached from the car park it was clear we wouldn’t have the same serenity this visit.



It looked a bit like craters on surface of the moon as people dug for the elusive hot water.
