Last stop on the tour was the Iranian Jewels Museum, deep in the basement of the Iranian Central Bank. No photos - in fact no metal object or anything on your person except wallet.
Untold $mills of diamonds and other jewels in crowns, tiaras, thrones, you name it; took us an hour to get around it.
Two samples from pics in a guidebook I bought:
World globe, 1870s; 34kg of gold, 3.6kg of gems in 51,000 pieces. Oceans in emeralds; most countries in rubies (except Iran, England and France in diamonds); Nth America at top right in this view. Of course they left Tasmania off the bloody map (also NZ).

For those who have seen the Russian jewels collection within the Armoury at the Kremlin, this isn't quite as big a collection, but gives it a good shake!
