The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

The whales are heading south again, a pod of three spotted this morning. Unfortunately only had my phone.

Are you still here Daver6?
We are less than 1km from the start of the funeral procession on Friday for Peres, so we are getting out of Dodge for the day. Heading to the Dead Sea.
Now.... for today.

re: The view from my "office"

Ha! Israel and Jordan have 'rival' baptism sites. I visited the Jordanian one which is now about 100m set back from the present course of the river.

Hopefully you'll get to have a swim in the Dead Sea - hopefully you can take some footwear you can walk into the water with. Because of the drop in the sea level, its often a muddy last few metres till you get into (and out of) the water.

I'm based in Tel Aviv. Although heading to the Dead Sea area tomorrow, staying overnight and hiking up Masada for sunrise on Saturday morning. Staying in Jerusalem Saturday night and then back to Tel Aviv.

So where was your picture of Tel Aviv taken from? One of these hotels?

I must update my trip report...but been too busy having fun :)

Under no circumstances change from hiking to a quad-bike . I do not wish to see a TR update that involves Mrs Daver6 in Emergency again...

Mind you, after Mr BB losing the baptismal pics, you may need to report on his condition should you catch up with the BBs :p.

The most dangerous thing being being done on this trip is the copious amounts of shawarma I've eaten. Good thing I'm walking and cycling a lot.

Ah yes, love Mossman Gorge on a stinking hot day ... nowhere better! (mind you, a cooler day may not be so much fun)!

re: The view from my "office"

Lovely junior suite view. Stood on chair to take the photo from the attic windows. Three guesses...

Today's adventures.... The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Western Wall tunnels Tour. Both fabulous.
Davers6 and I both at the Dead Sea tomorrow, could be one of the most unusual places for AFFer's to meet, should we cross paths.
