If you have to take checked luggage & I know you do with golf clubs etc you'd either need to book flights that allow sufficient time in MNL to clear customs & check in again or overnight in MNL. I suspect that cramming 4 flights into one day would not allow a decent transit time in MNL.

FWIW I wouldn't dream of attempting such an itinerary unless I had hand luggage only as IMHO it's just asking for trouble & unnecessary stress.

You are of course correct. It is possible to do the 4 flights in one day but I was trying to get back to BKK at 5:30pm.

One option is to have a longer transit in MNL and get into BKK around midnight but I would go nuts if I had to spend more than 20-30 minutes in that lounge in MNL and also risking the last flight of the night HKG-BKK.

The other option could have been to have left more time in HKG on first or second transit and collect bags and check-in again.

Bags made it OK anyway....

I have been to the CX lounge in MNL and it is cough. Not even a toilet in the lounge. Also not much bigger than my bedroom at home.

Ordinary is still a nice description.

By the way I thought the lounge next door was the Qantas Lounge. It did not look that way the other day,.

Mmm, Saturday's flight is looking full. Many worse seats to snag though! (I'm also travelling with 23A/B and K - they're just on a different PNR) :)

Great time to be involuntarily put in J!

Some CCTV footage of missing woman Jill Meagher. Look for the guy in the hoodie at the start and around 1:40 talking to Jill.

Who said thongs were suitable foot wear for flights, they should be shot!

another demonstration of our small world today.reading through the notes of a fellow I saw for the first time and found a letter he brought back from a mainland holiday. The letter was written in NSW by a FACEM called Fiona.I thought-"this lady sounds like a Princess".

I guess the surname should have sounded familiar being a Facebook friend as well.

Anyone remember that 6 degrees of separation theory, with Facebook that is pretty much shrunk to 2 or 3.

Small world.
