Re the demise of Avon. With 22,000 people losing their job it’s now regarded as one of Australia’s largest corporate loss. On their Facebook many consultants weren’t advised and Avon were advertising for consultants in Australia as recently as 10 days ago. I’m not sure if that means people have handed over money to move into Avon but if so it’s a nasty corporate act.
Our household have never bought any Avon stuff

I’ve had Nokia and Motorola flip (that got flogged off me in HCM) and which I loved.
I had 2 Motorola flip phones. One was V3688+? One flip phone would fit into my change pocket. The other was a little bigger and was my first camera phone. Was stolen while I was on a Songthaew in Pattaya. Battery was low and was locked to Telstra with password protection. Was getting towards the end of its life.

Funny how we went from bricks to tiny phones and now back to slimline bricks.

We've been on a flight during a proposal - it was a bit of an anti climax for everyone else to be honest and I think unless there is a significance to flying (how they met for example) I dont get it but I also dont see the point in gender reveal parties with balloons ect so bah humbug from me I guess. Congrats to the couple though.

The baby guy in the video said "what" about a dozen times - was he not there when it happened?

I'm all for kids should be on planes and it's ok for kids to cry but every pax on this flight should get a refund after actually watching all 4mins of this.

Kid obviously has behavioural issues but it's not fair to visit them on all these people without some compensation to them.

RUSH HOUR: Flight from hell with ‘demonic’ kid
If kid has behavioural issues, as in a medical condition, parents should have been able to make some arrangements, whether short term medication or whatever. I am not all for crying kids on planes. Other passengers have rights and I don’t subscribe to the view that kids should be allowed everywhere and behave as they please. We had 2 littlies in J on the way back from Tokyo this week and they were really good - slept almost the whole way and no crying. But...the parents were active in keeping them amused and quiet so as not to disturb other passengers. That’s the difference as it seems in the article mother took very little action.

Such cynicism.
For some reason I can't hear it but the surrounding passengers dont seem very excited. Meh, I think its a bit weird.

My sister in law has made some very nice profits over the years and still sells it. She has loyal customers.

Unusual upgrade fishing attempt.
However would have thought that a proposal like that would come with a prearranged upgrade or booked J at a minimum.

And if it were declined?

Nope, row wayyy up the back. Started with some pre arranged techno music and then a PA from the captain and then lots of silence until some cheering from the back rowers.

Still happy for them but unless they met on a plane on that date, dont get it.

How do you get a customer to walk out?

Refuse to serve them.

I went to a local Bunnings to purchase some items for my impending renovations. Couple of large boxes that are awkward at the best of times. Got to the registers but none open.

Was directed towards the information desk where one person was struggling with number of customers waiting. Waited a few minutes and was then directed towards the trade desk a long way away.

Not happening, I put my prospective purchases on the counter and walked. No attempt to get more staff or even open a register.

I would also hit them on social media, telling them that you left $$$$ worth of product on the counter because they didnt have staff and you were directed to other desks and still not served and no registers open.
