2 photos on the passport?
Yep. And that is one picture I wont be posting here.

I have shown MrP some Valentine love today. From afar in NZ. I have allowed him to use his FF points (although I did the transaction) to upgrade him tomorrow to J on his flight AKL-SYD-ADL. Aren't I the good wife. :D

Yes you are, and hes going to need it, after the trip hes had so far.

My husband reckons he said Happy Valentines day about 3am this morning. Apparently my response was: Hmmm, mmmm

I still have a South African ID document from when I was 16, in black and white - looked hideous. Colour was the best thing that happened for me.
Mum still has passport from 1972 also including myself and brother. Black and white photo quite ok.

Passports were different those days. Too serious now.

We have an update. MrP flying back Auckland to ADL tomorrow as just mentioned. He’s in Rotorua. Rotorua is in flood and airport is closed. Good news - he’s catching a ride back to Auckland with a colleague. Back on same road, 4 hours long, 24 hours later.

So hes staying overnight in Auckland? Has he got accommodation because the only thing I could find for our guys tonight was the airport Novatel.

Am commencing renovations next month (05 March*) and am having the relevant items delivered now so that they are all ready for the big day.

The 26 boxes of tiles, plus grout etc were to be delivered today, probably this morning. Just got a call that the truck is too hot and can they deliver them tomorrow? No, it's my day off today and I'm working tomorrow.

Oh we'll try and get another truck. So maybe or maybe not.:mad: I've spent the whole day at home unable to go anywhere, even close in case they came.

And then when they're delivered the pallet will be dropped off at the front door and I have to carry then inside.

I'm having the complete bathroom/toilet (2 rooms) stripped out and replaced. My 47 year old residence needs a refresh and this is the beginning. The walls and ceilings will be removed and replaced as will any floorboards as required. Am putting in a large shower with a fixed head and a flexible arm.

New toilet etc.

Tiled floor and walls to the ceiling. And getting ready for old age, am having the noggins put in the wall in case I need hand rails in the future.

On the other side of the bathroom wall a new oven will be installed.

All of the work is being done by licensed tradespeople so it will be done right.

Then I can do the preparation and painting and get the remaining carpet ripped up and floorboards sanded.

NBN (HFC:() is due in the next few months so a few changes here.

If youre going to have to move stuff around, get a trolley like this. Saxon 300kg Folding Platform Trolley

Good luck! We looked at renos and decided ripping it down completely was the better option.

Good luck @Hvr. I hope everything comes together in the right place and the right time.

A bit late for the suggestion, but is it worth fitting (or even just buying) a couple of handrails now so that are in the same style as the bathroom fittings? Over time styles change and it may be tricky finding something similar.

We liked the Novatel at the airport last time we stayed. Nice upgrade to a top floor suite!

Haven't tried it but would expect it to be so since salt increases the electrical conductivity discharging some electrical potential which signals the muscles to twitch. Galvani 'discovered' the effect with electric spark in 1780's so would seem that ionic salt would also generate an action potential across still surviving nerve cells.
