Thanks, appreciate the info, but too difficult for me ... and I see a comment after the article that there are some issues in the double-forward method. I'll just have to make do with free wi-fi and texts to initiate a call if needs be, like I usually do.

Or have two phones or a dual sim phone. Turn off data roaming on your aussie number, note the number ringing and then ring them via skype (or other provider) or your overseas mobile.

Just bought a Nokia 5 with dual sim, which can handle 4g on one sim and 3g on the other sim, simultaneous. Which will be handy with overseas jaunts.

What does one need, to get a driver's license in Russia?

Having watched about an hour of dash cams on YouTube, if they started with slowing down and learn how to safely left turn, they would reduce accidents by about 60%.
It's funny how in Russia, people have been forced to get dash cams to avoid scammers faking accidents.

I love the aussie dash cam youtube channel, with all the cursing and I realise I am not the only other person that sees people doing stupid stuff.

Devon sandwich with tomato sauce is delicious. Leaves that gourmet stuff for dead....

Wasn't sure what Devon was until reading the other posts. That takes me back many years......

This one seems to work. Not sure why GIPHY is having problems like that, unless it has to do with them restricting hotlinking.

Deep fried cheese is still around! I remember it being served as a canape during a function I went to a few years ago. I don't think they served it with jam or berry sauce (would have done nicely all the same), but there was sweet chilli.

'Tis one of those things where it's really a guilty pleasure or your eyes eat more than your stomach can bear. For others, it's a rather disgusting concoction (i.e. fatty cheese and then even more fat by deep frying it). That's why berry sauce or even a good salad was necessary to cut through the cheese. Even that GIF of the raclette on steak looks amazing, but after a full meal if you stared at that picture there's a good chance you might be repulsed.

Some arancini that you get can be virtually all cheese with some rice. I've had one such served with a berry sauce and rocket leaves.

I find it to be a pretty common starter dish over here, especially at pubs!

Yes. In my kitchen, I pull paper towels, left to right, so the photo above is incorrect installation.

Strangely, he thinks I over think it. He would be wrong.

Never really thought about it, but yes - left to right for us too.

I am with you Denali.

And toilet paper should come off the roll to the back, not the front.

Noooooo! Every time I find it like that, I swap it back to the right way ;)

Nope. Definitely wiser. I can remember all my mistakes clearly and try not to make the same mistake twice in a row....

Remember that when you get to your 2nd marriage ;)

Very annoying and against the MC rules I thought? Santander bank in Spain charges €5 for a any cash card cash withdrawal, in this case QantasCash.

Had to search out other banks that don't charge thus outrageous fee.

That’s a lot of catching up @Flashback :)

Why it pays to leave space between you and the car in front and not sit at the lights on your phone (other than its illegal in NSW).

2nd time this month I had the car in front of me start rolling down, coming very close to hitting my car.

Thankfully my car horn seems to do the job but this morning was a big 4x4 ute with tow bar rolling down to hit me, while the guy was on his phone.

THIS is why we all should have dash cams because it would have come down to his word v mine if he did hit and didnt want to admit it.

But I need to know what happened next!

According to the Dash Cam Aust posting, the only info is "I was waiting for my insurance claim to go through in case the guy disputed." so Im guessing the guy didnt dispute the insurance claim.

And he lost a thong...

Edit: Did you hear the guy say, "you caused this". Yes, you leave your car with the brake not engaged, it rolls down into someone else and its the driver behind you fault.

The other night, the guy behind me, had no lights on and was too busy texting on his phone.

Yep. I heard that. Almost like there was some kind of intellectual disability thing happening there with both of them.

I just think stroppy old guy was aggravated by dash cam guy beeping horn, thought he would get out of the car to tell the dash cam guy off and cue the epic result.

No one expects something like this when they think they are going to deliver a bit of verbal biff.

My nephew (who has a disability) went to a Michael Jackson tribute show and when he posted photos, I thought it was a Halloween joke.

Photo as proof..
