And I'm guessing not $25 per 15 minutes either.
Hope my health insurance will cover must of it. I had sinus surgery last year, about $4500. My total out of pocket was $75. So here's hoping.

Swmbo has an appointment, which will be billed in 15 minute allotments. I can't say I've encountered such billing before.

Lawyers bill in 6 minute increments. That's why my phone conversations to them sound like a horse race commentator.

Reminds me of The Simpsons...

Psychiatrist: "If money's a problem, I charge on a sliding scale. I can go as low as $30 an hour."
Homer: "Keep sliding."

Lawyers bill in 6 minute increments. That's why my phone conversations to them sound like a horse race commentator.

Charging in 0.1 hour increments. How ingenious.

No offence to any lawyers on AFF but I hope I never need the services of a lawyer.

I used to bill in 15 min increments, first job fresh from uni. Tedious to say the least

You'd be surprised ... Sometimes it's just nice to disengage the brain¤ and just relax ... If nothing else you can marvel at the animation.

¤ Then again one can be surprised - the first few minutes of UP I won't forget ...

My partner watched up without me and warned me against watching it, then he watched it over my shoulder (flight back from HNL) and tried not to cry - he'd seen it already and he still …!!!
I love despicable me, up, tangled - thats a good one, go see it if you haven't… no kids. Love Disney and fairy tales though. Meet the robinsons, thats always good for a family gathering (all adults but hey).

Congrats John.

Hope all is well for those with medical issues.

Job people, good luck.

I'm not really great at following along on this thread properly as it tends to move too fast for me.

but I think that covers most of whats happened.

Thanks. I think this thread moves too quickly for most people. It has to be getting close to reaching critical mass.

You'd go well at our house then :D. You forgot Frozen, Over The Hedge, Toy Story, etc

By far the best is The Guardians. Brilliant

From 2009, Fantastic Mr. Fox, a very enjoyable animated film.

On my way home from AKL enjoyed The Railway Man.

I can feel a movie thread coming on......

I haven't seen Frozen or Over The Hedge yet. I guess I will need to check out The Guardians, not sure I have heard of it.
Mulan is one I love to watch as well. Megamind was also entertaining but we watched it and Despicable Me back to back so I always have trouble picking a favourite. It might be Megamind, because of the way he plays "cars" with the real cars.

I do like Small Soldiers. It came out just before Toy Story I think, and was one of the first of the more realistic animations.

Not animated. I like this one...

I love Cars - the five mins or so just after the start, where the illustrators have taken the views you look at as a kid, wehn you are on family drives, is just so incredibly perceptive - the fields of trees making lines of perspective, the shapes reflected in the chrome of the truck in front, the transient bird chirps on the wires... I would love to be able to meet John Lassiter (or whomever did that) and thank then for such an evocative memory poker.

Is that the point when all the Catholic AFF'ers here get together and complain about the rest of us? ;)
