That is pretty ridiculous IMHO.

One of the good things about working in a *cough* "professional" environment is that there are CAs/CPAs/etc wandering around everywhere who can witness documents in exchange for distracting them from their work :p
At least the good thing is I picked up the car today... 2011 Pajero.

I met a puppy today that I really want to adopt but I can't decide if it's worth unsettling my current dog (who is lonely since being separated from her companion). Any thoughts?

By the way Express Post Platinum has still not arrived on Day 3 of their promised next day delivery*.

* To be taken with a grain of salt and you really, really need to be gullible to believe it.

If 100 people use Express Post Platinum with guaranteed next delivery and 1 does not arrive then this is a huge fail. Not good enough. False advertising to the extreme and I feel sorry for the person who is going to read my feedback....

Yes, that's Fair Work Australia in action. Although being under 15 people we have a little bit of room to move. As always, there are bad bosses and they abuse the workers, that has to be acknowledged. The pendulum goes to and fro. It's very much based on the employee at the moment. I am still cross about it - hairdresser indeed.
We had a small business employing 25 people. MrJulesMac a very fair and generous boss, along with lots of other perks used to give them all a DJ or Myer voucher at Christmas. Over ten years there was consistently only one girl who ever came back after the break and told us what she'd bought, and thanked us again. (*FWIW she was probably, of all the staff, in the lowest socio-economic sector) One year we were rather busy and I hadn't arranged them yet, and one lass came up to Mr and asked when they would be getting their vouchers as she wanted to go and buy some Christmas presents......needless to say he was so ropeable that was the last year vouchers were distributed. Except to - yep, you guessed it, that one nicely-mannered girl
**I added that point because lots more of the staff were, shall we say, brung up proper, perhaps naievely I expected that they might know what was the polite and well mannered thing .

Can you adopt me?

I promise I won't unsettle your current dog! :p

Well, it has worked before. So call me gullible. (Actually, there's hardly a faster service in Australia, unless you find a good overnight courier, or handover the big cash and do the delivery yourself).

I wouldn't say 1 in 100 is a huge fail. It's just a fail in and of itself. If it was 100 in 100 that would be a huge fail indeed. (2% burns on your body hurts, but at least you're alive, compared to 100% burns...)

The fact it's 1 in 100 doesn't justify any success or what not (it's still a case that should not have happened), especially in your case, so you're entitled to your feedback at least being acknowledged, and see if you can get a refund (and then some) rather than just your next envelope free.

The thing that bothers me about Express Post Platinum is that the postcode ranges allowed are surprisingly limited. When I had to do some mailing to and from Perth, this was a killer in some cases (so you might as well have used regular Express Post and expect 2 days best).

Do you eat Select brand dog or cat food?

Especially when there is a bonus points promotion :p :p :p

I used to be able to witness affidavits, stat decs etc. I didn't mind it too much at work, however when family and friends ring to 'catch up' and bring papers with them...

I was going to go through the process, but avoided it. When you live around 300m from a police station in a mad nightclub zone, the probability of being dragged into something bad was too high.

It has failed me.

So what should I say now I was not able to get my medicine from the pharmac_? Well done Australia Post for getting everyone else's package on time?

I am sorry we see things slightly differently and if you are not able to deliver a package from Belmore to Toowong by the next day then there is something seriously wrong.

I think you should be asking the 12 year old Jack Russell that question! :p
I think she'd be happy to have someone cuddle, she's been cold and lonely lately (and it's a huge bed for a little dog).

Take the Jack Russell to meet the puppy and let them decide whether they are compatible!
