Thinking being facetious.....it's like me saying Glasgow is the Scottish capital ....and Perth is the capital of Australia!!
Palma will be nice ..@sudoer @PERLHR @SYD @kangarooflyer88
Cheers for the inputs. Decided to do a mix. relatively unnecessary upgrade in SYD - MEL return using the $299 J fare one way (we'd almost never buy this route in Cash for J) and potentially a visit to Palma when we're over in Europe.
Should tick her over to platinum until Sep 2027 by which we might do a status hold if all things go well.
I thought he might have missed a word, eg “Financial” or “Sausage” (or something wurst)…Thinking being facious.....it's like me saying Glasgow is the Scottish capital ....and Perth is the capital of Australia!!![]()
…very. Passed thru on a cruise 2 years ago. Actually nicer than I thought it would be.Palma will be nice ..
Take a look at BCN-xMAD-LON RT on IB/BA
Starts at about $546 + taxes for 200 SC.
I’ve been playing around with these and the best bet with UK-Spain status runs is to start in secondary UK ports and head to airports in Spain where there is a non-stop LCC connection, connecting in London and Madrid on the way. Ex-Spain, prices can be high. Something like INV/EDI-LHR-MAD-AGP/PMI/IBZ works well. Thanks for this - seems really handy. How do I replicate it or get it to price like that? I've tried google flights, but I'm getting significantly higher prices.

Try using Kayak or Skyscanner. EDI-LHR-MAD-PMI (filtering Oneworld only, and 2+ stops) yields the best results. e.g. out 7/10, back 14/10 is 340 quid bookable through Expedia UK.When I put that into google flights, I get costs upwards of £600 - what dates are you looking at and what prices are you getting?
For example, I did a multi-city entry of INV-LHR-MAD-AGP and got £650. When I do that return, it is over £1,000. Is there something I'm not doing right?
Amazing! Thanks for the advice - going to check these out now.Try using Kayak or Skyscanner. EDI-LHR-MAD-PMI (filtering Oneworld only, and 2+ stops) yields the best results. e.g. out 7/10, back 14/10 is 340 quid bookable through Expedia UK.
It’s the capital to me as it hosts the biggest airport, has the Skyscrapers and is the financial capital of continental Europe. Technically Berlin is the capital but for me it’ll be Frankfurt
From the routed I've looked at recently, India and a lot of Asia seem to be pretty tricky to get down to those figures even with DSC. Looking at MEL-SYD-BLR-SYD-MEL for example with DSC and Business Sale fares it looks to come out at $9.41 / SC. MEL-SIN-MEL is about $8.55 / SC. MEL-SYD-SIN-SYD-MEL is about $7.54 / SC.Hi folks
Anyone has any recommendation for status runs from Melbourne to India or Asia. in anticipation of an upcoming DSC, i am thinking of making a holiday trip there but cant figure out the best route to get $3.5/SC (with the promotion) or around $7 without
Thanks
