As an SG can I access this lounge if my flight later on the same day is on Jetstar in Y ?
And can I guest my brother (no QFF status) who will be on the same flight ?

Thanks

Yes to both.

Lounge Locations | Singapore Changi International Airport | International Business

Gold Frequent Flyer

Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas, Emirates, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#

One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

If the QF lounge is closed is there access to EK lounge if on JQ? am SG turning WP upon arrival to SIN, JQ flight I refer too is next day.

So a loaded question. Which Lounge is the best to visit for a QF flight departing around 9pm? WP and J flight. I'm thinking we will arrive in time for a nice meal and pre flight drinks of course. :).

The lounge is nice. Better than the old lounge except for the lack of desktops and printing facilities. Better than a lot of international lounges I have visited.

At a minimum that is what I would expect in an international lounge.

Would I rave on about it? No....
Sums my thoughts up pretty well JohnK.

JQ/3K travellers effectively have lounge access from 2.30PM (or 3.30PM ) which is when the QF lounge opens, no EK lounge access.

Just as I thought, oh well, early flight so will just get to airport later. Thanks for the answer :)

Finally managed a shmooze here. Busy but not crowded (Thursday evening). Great lounge! - love the varied and different eco-systems / areas which can accommodate differing needs / moods. Terrific staff. Didn't like the communal dining tables, as when very busy, it might force you (as it did force me, initially) to sit beside some-one who's company you didn't necessarily enjoy (in my case, a loud, arrogant phone conversation). Also - very minor point - thought the open ceiling / exposed duct work was silly. Seemed to be the concept of some 'look at me' pony tailed designer; no reason for it.

Would have thought that in such a large space, they might have had room for a modest First/WP &+ area where one might escape the zoo, maybe sharing the general dining & other facilities, but with a coupla extra refinements (read Champagne etc) :)

I have a comparative Pacific lounge review in prep, but I'd rate this lounge over at least one, probably 2 First Lounges I visited on the same trip. Also better than EK's SIN lounge, which had a work-out also.

Used the new lounge for the first time yesterday, it was simply awesome fantastic staff and food was great.

Will post a more detailed review later. :)

So here is my more detailed review:

Arrived at the lounge on Sunday afternoon, everything about this new lounge was WOW (especially the entrance and when compared to the old one).

Got ushered to a table and told about the days live cooking options, I chose the chicken dish (was hoping for a Laksa but not available that day).

The fresh cooked chicken dish was fantastic.
The braised beef dish was fantastic.
Actually come to think of it all the food I had was just great, Creme Brulee a favourite!

Staff were extremely attentive and constantly making sure everyone was comfortable, their wines re-filled, very pleasant.

I didn't think I would like the new design layout but in person it is really good, and everything works well together.

Managed to get time for a shower, suite was nice and clean, felt refreshed for my flight.

Only thing that was an issue was a couple of 'bogans' who thought it was alright to stretch their bare stinky feet out on those little wood tables in the seating area, and sitting there 'face-timing' their friends for 10-15mins at a time out loud on speaker phone. Needless to say I moved seats at this time. Don't know why the staff didn't say anything to him as its not a good look nor hygienic?

After this great experience and comfort it was hard to go sit in the cramped old A330 seats on the way home.. definitely miss the A380 on this route. :D

All in all well done Qantas on this lounge.

I was there yesterday (Monday). Also had the chicken (wasn't impressed), however the braised beef was excellent. Had two Creme Brulee's - they were that good. Staff were very attentive and sought feedback.

One thing though, found the Rooster too strong. I like my booze, but I had to stop after a few mouthfuls as otherwise I wouldn't have made it to the gate.

This has probably been mentioned earlier in this thread but I find it most odd that QF open an amazing Singapore lounge shortly after they pull their premium A380 product from this airport and now seem to be struggling to fill A330s, even with constant sales. Seems like a weird allocation of funds to dying routes....

Given I do the SIN trip monthly I would disagree with the concept that the loads are struggling, in fact all my flights have been J0 which would not be possible if the plane was full of cheap fares. Singapore also has 3K for connections as far as QF goes, the move to partner with EK came after the decision to renovate the SIN lounge so things were already being worked on. I would imagine loads would be significantly lower if the premium passengers were faced with the lounge options that existed before the new one opened.

Currently in the new SIN lounge, awaiting a MH flight to KUL. The lounge is really good, open, spacious and well attended by the staff. Thumbs Up Qantas.

Asking a related question. If on an MH flight as a QP member you can access Qantas lounges in KL and HK?

Looking forward to seeing this Singapore lounge in August.
