The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Platinum for Jetstar doesn’t get access.

Following up on flyfrequently’s post where it was mentioned only QF J gets access… that doesn’t marry with the QF lounge page which suggests for partner lounges, platinum and gold FF when flying qantas, should get access.
It's not a partner lounge. It a 3rd party pay per use lounge that QF uses for its J pax it would appear. If you're on JQ, QF status carries no weight for non-QF lounges.

Good gracious.

The Bali lounge is listed on the qantas lounge page as a partner lounge, in several places.

This means Jetstar gets no access, regardless of Qantas status.

But it means Qantas J, and Qantas P1, P and Gold, plus qantas club should all get access if flying on a Qantas flight.

Access for Qantas club travelling on a QF flight is confirmed in flyfrequently’s post where there’s a link to the DPS lounge renovation!

Hi all
I'm flying Jetstar from Bali back to Australia with my family I'm platinum with Qantas is there a lounge in Bali that we can use as we have a lot of time at the airport
The official Qantas policy when it comes to lounge access on JetStar flights as a QFF member is that you have access to Qantas operated lounges on departure when flying JetStar. So you won't get access to any other OneWorld partner operated lounges since JetStar is not a OneWorld member airline. Looking at the Qantas website they do not appear to have a lounge in Bali for some reason.

Qantas does have a partner lounge in Bali.

Well established up thread that QF-club and QF-status flying on JQ can’t use it.

Otherwise, it’s lounge access as normal for Qantas Club members (which includes all status holders gold and above).
