The Qantas multi-city booking tool is almost unusable

The current version of the Qantas multi-city booking tool has never been great. But I really get the feeling that it's gotten much worse. Is it just me?

Like, I'm trying currently to searching for a multi-city reward booking with two sectors. When I click on the flights I want, the website just isn't pricing it, and therefore I cannot click "continue" to go to the next page. I've tried different browsers, going out and back in, etc. Sometimes I can select the first flight, but then the website freezes on the second page.

I believe Qantas might be working on a new multi-city tool, which would explain why they've stopped investing in the current one. But I can't even book a flight using the current one - that's kind of a problem.

It’s working for me but it can be temperamental. Sometimes I can’t even get the MC page to load (change browser usually fixes that) - but that’s not new.

I’m also seeing a LOT of:

HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request

When there aren’t flights (I assume) instead of the sad plane “No flights” page.

But here’s one I just randomly searched.

I am getting the same HTTP Status 400 message as well, on every search. I would remove the almost from the heading - even the error messages are unhelpful.

Yep I landed on the 400 - Bad request page every time last week while trying to piece together a domestic itinerary involving XCH and CCK.

I thought it had something to do with the ex-CCK leg which, if booking separately, requires being transferred to an "international site" (ie notified that CCK T&Cs and charged in AUD).

Good to know it's just a carp tool.
